Costa Coffee At AMC: Does It Exist?

I’ve been an A-lister at AMC for going on two or threat years. Now, from time to time, AMC will run promotions where you are eligible for a free drink, box of candy, or some sort of deal that only the “premier” A-list members have access to.

Enter….the Costa coffee. I’d like to go on record saying that there is no Costa coffee at AMC. It does not exist, and this promotion is the mark of false advertising and a twisted scheme to promise me caffeine when in fact, they have none.

While AMC may be putting out advertisements that they offer Costa coffee to moviegoers, I have been unable to redeem a single one of these Coffee coupons while attending a screening at their establishment.

Why is coffee not more available at movie theatres?

It is probably a larger topic of conversation why coffee has not been more hurriedly adopted by movie theatre chains. Perhaps it screws with the salty popcorn – sweet soda dynamic that chains have been relying on for decades?

I could imagine a lot of adults who book an after-dinner movie or a Sunday matinee would be interested in a hot cup of joe to kick in a little caffeine buzz in Act two. Heck, why not offer some cold coffee drinks for moviegoers to sip down?

Overall, there could be a number of reasons why coffee is not a beloved staple at AMC (or any movie theatre chain for that matter) but it remains a glaring omission to their concessions department.

Maybe one day I will finally be able to redeem my Costa coffee voucher, but until then I will have to settle for a Diet Coke.
